At the May meeting, Representative Chester Masterson was awarded a plaque in recognition of his support of Amateur Radio during the 2006 Mississippi Legislative Session. Presenting the plaque are Ron Brown, AB5WF, State Government Liaison; Bill Ford, W5WAF, VARC President; Masterson; and Malcolm Keown W5XX, Mississippi Section Manager.
